Type of Material:

Aluminium Titanate is an oxide - ceramic material with fine-grained microstructure and an open porosity. Grade HT AT is suitable for most applications.

Manufacturing technique:

  • Iso-static pressing
  • Slip casting

Application:

  • Low thermal conductivity
  • High thermal shock resistance
  • Can operate to a maximum temperature of 1400°C
  • Strength of 40 x Calcium Silicate and 10 x over Fused Silica
  • Insulating properties
  • Very low wettability by non ferrous melts
