Mineral Sands Processing involves the separation of heavy mineral sand deposits to derive 4 main components:

• Zircon
• Rutile
• Titanium Metal
• Titanium Dioxide Pigment

The processes used include electrostatic and magnetic separators, acid washing, heat treatment, oxygenation and leaching. All these elements equate to heat, acidity, attrition and thermal shock.
