The Hard Rock Mining Industry represents the production of:

• Base minerals (copper, zinc, lead, nickel, tin and iron ore, etc)
• Precious metals (gold, silver, platinum and palladium, etc)

To get an ounce of these ores, they have to travel from the mining pit, to the processing plant and then get ready for shipment. The journey to the end point involves significant wear as a result of the material size, conveying velocity, hardness, temperature and corrosive elements.
